Back and lay, in plain words
Backing means betting that something will happen. Laying means betting that it will not, so you take the other side of someone's back bet. When you lay at 1.70 with a ₹1,000 stake, you win ₹1,000 if the team loses and pay ₹700 if it wins. Check your liability before you confirm a lay bet.
Odds as probability
